Manaslu circuit trekking itinerary starts at a small town of Sotikhola crossing several bamboo forests and Gurung village in the Buri Gandaki gorge. We hike through the Lho village and reach the Nupri region inhabitant by Tibetan immigrants. The region is festooned by the colorful prayer flags, Mani walls and age-monasteries.
Trekking via Samdo village, we climb to approach the Larkya La Pass, crossing this high pass is challenging but memorable adventure for fit hill novice trekkers. The view from Larkya La is breathtaking that including Himal Chuli, Manaslu, Cheo HImal and Himlung Himal mountains. This pass connects the Budhi Gandaki with the Marsyangdi valley. The downhill part of the trail travels through the beautiful alpine meadows at Bhimthang and join the main Annapurna circuit route and finally heading to Besishar.
Manaslu Trek difficulty is graded as “Strenuous” trek where trekkers need to walk for (6-8 hours) a day in a remote terrain. It is obviously a great choice for regular walker.
